Dave became involved with the green industry in the summer of 2000, working a seasonal position maintaining botanical gardens with the Massachusetts Horticultural Society. He later moved to northern California, where he worked for Turtle Bay Exploration Park, maintaining the garden installations along the “Sun Dial bridge” over the Sacramento River. In 2005, he relocated to Arlington VA. Working for the City of Falls Church VA, he began a specific focus in Arboriculture and spent the next 10 years practicing and studying Urban Forestry. During that period, he obtained his Tree Worker Climber Specialist and Arborist Certifications, and received his TRAQ. He eventually moved to North Carolina and spent 4 years as the Landscape and Grounds Supervisor for the Town of Carrboro and was an active member of the North Carolina Urban Forestry Council. He joined Bartlett Tree Experts in 2016 as a crew leader and Local Office Safety Coordinator. Dave is a Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP) and Certified Safety Manager through NASP.
