Christian Padgett brings a rare and valuable perspective to the insurance world—one built not just on policy expertise, but on years of direct, hands-on experience in the landscape industry at both the regional and national levels. Before stepping into the role of a trusted insurance advisor, Christian spent the better part of a decade working in operations and business development for landscape companies ranging from locally rooted firms to nationally recognized industry leaders. This depth and range of experience give him an unmatched understanding of the day-to-day challenges green industry professionals face and the strategic risks that can impact their long-term growth.
At The Baldwin Group, Christian leads the firm's Green Industry Practice Group, specializing in the complex and often underserved insurance needs of landscape contractors, tree service companies, nursery operations, and related businesses across Florida and the Southeast. His expertise spans workers' compensation strategy, captive insurance structures, and alternative risk financing—helping clients move beyond conventional placements toward programs that reward strong safety cultures and generate measurable, long-term premium savings. He has deep experience navigating the unique exposures that come with H-2B workforce programs, equipment-intensive operations, and the seasonal pressures that define green industry business cycles.
Christian is an active and engaged member of the Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association (FNGLA), serving as a State Board Representative and as President of the FNGLA Tampa Bay Chapter.
Christian earned his degree from the University of Florida in 2013, graduating Cum Laude, and holds his Professional Risk Consultant (PRC) designation. He is based in Tampa, Florida, and partners with his clients not only to protect what they've built—but to position them for sustainable growth.
